ProFab® nonwoven geotextiles are manufactured from the extrusion of fibres which are then laid down on a manufacturing “bed” and then needle punched to entangle the fibres such that a dimensionally stable product is formed. Some additional thermal treatment is then applied to further improve the strength of the geotextile. Because of this manufacturing process nonwoven geotextiles are generally best used in applications of drainage, filtration and protection. Global Synthetics offers the ProFab® nonwoven geotextile in the AS140 grade in conveniently packaged roll roll sizes for the small project, building or landscaping works. Profan AS140 grade of nonwoven geotextile provides all of the strength and porosity of bulk geotextile rolls retaining soil particles whilst allowing water to freely drain through. it is an ideal separation and filtration geotextile for use in paths, behind retaining walls and in subsoil draingage trenches to name a few.
