Bituthene Primer Type C 20L (VOC-free primer and curing compound)
A liquid membrane curing compound and primer for BITUTHENE® membranes. It consists of water dispersed non-volatile solids. After application, the water evaporates leaving a thin impermeable film over the surface.
Product Uses
BITUTHENE® Primer Type C is designed for concrete, brick and masonry substrates to which any BITUTHENE® selfadhesive sheet membrane will be applied. It is also a Class 3 Type Z curing blanket for freshly placed concrete.

Preparation
Surfaces must be sound clean, free from dust, oil, grease or contaminants. Do not apply when rain is expected.
Application
Mix thoroughly immediately prior to use and agitate product during application.
Apply one full coat forming a continuous film at a rate of 5m2 / L by brush, broom, roller or low pressure spray. Allow to dry and apply the BITUTHENE® waterproof membrane in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

If using as curing compound, apply a further coat after a minimum 7 days cure. Early application of membrane may increase moisture vapour bubbles under BITUTHENE®.
Compatibility
BITUTHENE® Primer Type C is designed for use under all Bituthene waterproof membrane systems.
Coverage
BITUTHENE® Primer Type C is ready to use straight from container. Application rate is 5 to 6m2 / L using brush roller or spray application. Coverage may vary depending on ambient temperature, porosity and texture of surface.
Packaging
Packed in 20 litre pails or 200 litre drums.
Storage
Store pails in a cool dry place. Unopened containers have a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
Clean Up
Remove uncured product with water. GP Solvent or Kerosene will assist with the removal of cured product. Exercise care when using solvents. Please review all Materials Safety Data Sheet before use.
